| Overview & History |
 |
The company's roots are founded in the small commercial and custom residential building markets, where Lee F. Cowper earned a solid reputation for quality construction. As the business grew, the company diversified to include corporate, healthcare, institutional, and industrial projects. Today, although a medium sized firm, Lee F. Cowper, Inc. is one of the area?s leading general contractors.
Having the right tools for the job is half the battle. Building on 200-plus years of combined team experience, the company utilizes the latest construction management and building technologies. State-of-the-art tools for project cost estimating and scheduling enable us to compare different building scenarios to help determine the best course of action, while our project accounting system accurately maintains costs to keep your project on-budget.
Delivery Methods
A portion of the company's contracts are generated through either the design-build or team-build delivery methods.
Under the design-build approach, the General Contractor directly employs and controls the design team. This method differs from team-build in that the owner hires both the General Contractor and architectural firms. Under both methods, the owner, builder and designer combine their skills for the common goal of fulfilling the owner's needs in the most efficient manner possible. The result provides a "win-win" situation for all participants.
